Dusken

Dusken is the sinister and twisted realm at the heart of the struggle for the Infinity Gate. Crucia, Regulos, and the descendants of old Brevane battle from the pus swamps of Seratos to the fallen chantries of Morban, racing to unlock the key to life beyond the continent of Death.

Touched by Regulos

After tearing through the Infinity Gate, Regulos laid waste to its builders and claimed the continent on which it stood. He disfigured the land, spewing pestilence that took hold wherever it fell. At last, he set out for Mathosia, leaving Dusken in the hands of ghastly fleshcrafters obsessed with art and applications of muscle and fat. For centuries, these Shapers cultivated the invasive blight, harvesting Brevanes for raw materials to use in their sculptures, laboratories, and worse.

Cause for hope

Incredibly, the inhabitants of Dusken have eked out a meager but stubborn resistance. Deep inside the wastes of Seratos, the burial city of Necropolis harbors the Caretakers, a group sworn to end the Shaper menace. Their quest is shared by Queen Miela Aurentis, heir to the Kingdom of Pelladane and ambassador to the Ascended. Her battle to reclaim Pelladane propels the Guardians and Defiant toward a decisive battle with the dragon of Death.

In Death, Infinity

Standing in their way are the assembled horrors of Regulos and the full might of Crucia’s Legion, though the dragons’ armies work to different ends. Elder Shapers direct their abominable creations against both the Caretakers and Crucia’s legionaries, who have different plans for the secrets of Necropolis. Meanwhile, the Destroyer of Worlds and Queen of Air churn out new thralls to battle for the Steppes of Infinity, home to the ancient planar gate that will shape the future of Telara.

The Ascended and their allies, caught in the middle of a planar war, must unearth the dragons’ plans and cut down their vicious hordes before the continent is lost to the churning Storm or reshaped with the remains of their dead.

Dungeons

Unhallowed Boneforge

Few Shapers live to be Elders. Even fewer win recognition as masters of their craft. Helix, plying his trade from the necrotic throne of an unrivaled Boneforge, has done both. Revered for pouring his own viscera into wildly ambitious designs, Helix is hard at work on a new husk to hold his withered body. Unfortunately for Helix, the Caretakers – depleted by his insatiable thirst for parts – have asked the Ascended to prevent his transformation.

Archive of Flesh

Part museum, part menagerie, the Archive of Flesh is home to masterpieces of Shaper invention. Ahzrius, the archive’s curator, has toiled over the collection for ages, posing its monstrosities in exhibits of sinew, staples, and meat. Cleansing his vault is chilling work – from the guard dog to an abomination that survived its own recycling, Ahzrius hates losing a single piece.

Tower of the Shattered

While Crucia’s war machines are built from planar energy and gears, the majority of her Legionaries are broken – captured Telarans whose minds are shattered by her ministers of conversion, propaganda, and war. With an artificial intelligence known as Auram guiding their path, the Ascended must steal into an impenetrable fortress and assassinate General Thunderscar and Commissar Typhiria without alerting the Legion garrison … or Crucia herself.
